If you only listen to one Bluegrass group, listen to the Steep Canyon Rangers. Forget Steve Martin. The Steep Canyon Rangers are just a fantastic band, and this is just a great record w/ some great music written by the band, & not the same old bluegrass tunes that we've heard for the past 50 years/5().

Drive-By Truckers will release English Oceans on March 4, on ATO Records. English Oceans, the band's 12th release, is an elegantly balanced and deeply engaged new effort that finds the group refreshed and firing on all cylinders. 'It can go from this chainsaw rock 'n' roll to this very delicate, pretty-sounding stuff,' says Mike Cooley/5().

Jan 25,  · Canyon City’s Constellation is the kind of album that can lull a listener to slumber, not because it’s simply a yawn, but rather because it’s so sweet and alluring it provides a cradle of comfort even on first hearing. The nom de plume of Nashville-based singer and songwriter Paul Johnson, it’s Canyon City’s follow up to last year’s.

For folks looking for a collection of the classic '50s and '60s hits featured in John Carpenter's horror film Christine, this is the release you are looking for. There are a few versions of this soundtrack (mostly European releases) that feature the film's score (a very creepy affair by John Carpenter and Alan Howarth) but these contain none of the popular music -- a bit of a letdown for.

Dec 31,  · Here I am again, deciding to let another band into my life. This time's it's The Moody Blues.I first heard of them way back when "Your Wildest Dreams" was all over MTV in I ordered An Introduction to the Moody Blues from emusic because it covered the early period with Denny Laine (as well as once having the bootleg Time is on My Side), which seems like a whole other band.

American Band is a great album, tackling a lot of modern-day facets of American life: gun culture, police killings, the history and culture of the south, the Black Lives Matter movement etc. As always, Patterson Hood manages to narrate important topics into catchy songs and melodies which are abundant here/5(65).
